The application fee is non-refundable whether the application is successful or not.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that applications must be lodged in person during the periods specified below:<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Application for the \u201c2026\/2027 Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission\u201d <\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>The Government will implement the \u201cFree Quality Kindergarten Education Scheme\u201d (hereafter referred to as \u201cScheme\u201d) starting from the 2026\/2027 school year. Each child who can receive education in Hong Kong will only be issued a registration document and all Scheme-KGs can only admit students holding a valid registration document.<\/li>\n<li>Parents are required to submit an application for the \u201cRegistration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission\u201d (hereafter referred as \u201cRC\u201d) to EDB from September to November 2025. The \u201cRC\u201d will be open for applications in September 2025 and EDB will announce and upload the details of application onto EDB\u2019s website ( <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edb.gov.hk\">http:\/\/www.edb.gov.hk<\/a> ) in due course. Upon receipt of the applications with all necessary information and documents provided, EDB will generally take six to eight weeks to complete processing of the applications and issue the \u201cRC\u201d to applicants who are eligible for receiving subsidy under the Scheme by post. If a student cannot obtain an \u201cRC\u201d as he\/she can receive education in Hong Kong but is not eligible for receiving subsidy under the Scheme , EDB will then issue a \u201cKindergarten Admission Pass\u201d (hereafter referred to as \u201cAP\u201d) to the student concerned for registration and admission to a Scheme-KG but the parents concerned are required to pay full school fees before deduction of subsidy under the Scheme as shown on the Fees Certificate of the KG to which the child is admitted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span class=\"a847658 txt-size--large a114486 txt-color--green\">2026\/27 K1 Admission Arrangements Flowchart<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/sumtungfookkg.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/202627_K1_Admission_Flowchart_EN.png\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8688 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/sumtungfookkg.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/202627_K1_Admission_Flowchart_EN-300x206.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"699\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sumtungfookkg.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/202627_K1_Admission_Flowchart_EN-300x206.png 300w, https:\/\/sumtungfookkg.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/202627_K1_Admission_Flowchart_EN-1024x704.png 1024w, https:\/\/sumtungfookkg.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/202627_K1_Admission_Flowchart_EN-768x528.png 768w, https:\/\/sumtungfookkg.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/202627_K1_Admission_Flowchart_EN-18x12.png 18w, https:\/\/sumtungfookkg.edu.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/202627_K1_Admission_Flowchart_EN.png 1210w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 699px) 100vw, 699px\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Admission Criteria <\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Interview performance<\/li>\n<li>Applicants with sibling(s) currently studying at the kindergarten will be given priority consideration.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants from families in need will be given priority consideration when applying for whole day classes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>(Please understand that as the number of school places are limited, not all applicants fulfilling the priority consideration will be guaranteed a school place.)<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Interview Arrangements <\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>The kindergarten will arrange interview for all applicants.<\/li>\n<li>Interviews will be conducted on 01\/11\/2025.<\/li>\n<li>Group interviews will be arranged .<\/li>\n<li>Parents should accompany their child for the interview .<\/li>\n<li>Please contact us at 2672 7258 if interpretation \/ translation service is required.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0If necessary, We can make use of the free-of-charge telephone interpretation service provided by the Home Affairs Department-funded \u201cCentre for Harmony and Enhancement of Ethnic Minority Residents (CHEER)\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The telephone interpretation service hotlines are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3755 6811 (Bahasa Indonesian, Tagalog, Thai)<\/li>\n<li>3755 6822 (Hindi, Nepali)<\/li>\n<li>3755 6833 (Urdu)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Announcement of Admission Results <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We will inform parents of the K1 admission results before 12 December 2025 by letter.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Registration Arrangements <\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Successful applicants:<\/strong> Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child from 8 to 10 January 2026 (\u201cCentralised Registration Dates\u201d) by submitting the original copy of the \u201c2026\/2027 RC\u201d to the kindergarten and paying the registration fee.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Applicants on the waiting list:<\/strong> Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the original copy of the \u201c2026\/2027 RC\u201d to the kindergarten and pay the registration fee.<\/li>\n<li>Please be reminded that if parents do not submit the \u201c2026\/2027 RC\u201d during registration, the kindergarten may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents are reminded to submit the application for the Registration Certificate to EDB within the specified period.<\/li>\n<li>The registration fee for 2025\/2026 K1 place is HK$970 (for half-day classes)\/HK$1570 (for whole-day classes).When the children enrolling in our kindergarten, the registration fee will be refunded in september 2026. However, should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the kindergarten in writing. The kindergarten will return the \u201c2026\/2027 RC\u201d but the registration fee will not be refunded.
